626 Gives: NJ Seaside Annual Polar Bear Plunge

A huge thank you to Jennifer Nagy—who completed her 4th Polar Bear Plunge this year—and to her incredible friends Erica (on her 1st plunge) and Colleen (on her 6th plunge) for representing 626 at the annual Polar Bear Plunge on February 24, 2024.

The Polar Bear Plunge at Seaside is a beloved yearly event hosted by New Jersey Law Enforcement in support of the Special Olympics. Beginning at 9 AM with registration and followed by the iconic dash into the icy Atlantic Ocean, the event brought together over 8,000 participants for an unforgettable day of energy, community, and courage.

All proceeds support the Special Olympics, a nonprofit dedicated to providing free, year-round sports training and athletic competition for individuals with intellectual disabilities. This year’s event raised an incredible $2,551,703 to help fund statewide programming and opportunities for thousands of athletes. To learn more or get involved, visit: www.plungeseaside.org.
