Brooke Peters proudly represented 626 at Do You Give a Ruck’s fourth annual Battle of the Branches event this past April!
Do You Give a Ruck is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting military veterans and their families. Their mission focuses on improving the lives of veterans through funding for housing, rental assistance, education, mental health resources, PTSD support, and many other critical services.
The annual event features a fun—but challenging—military-style obstacle run where teams compete to determine which branch of service comes out on top. The event welcomes civilians, veterans, JROTC programs, recruiting stations, and supporters from across the community.
This year, 626 donated $400 in raffle items, helping DYGAR raise enough funds to purchase land for Coalition for Attainable Homes in Fort Pierce. This land will be used to build veteran-inclusive housing to help veterans regain stability during difficult times. In addition, more than 1.5 metric tons of supplies were collected to benefit The Source Ministries and CareBag, providing hygiene items, baby essentials, clothing, and food to families in need throughout the Treasure Coast.
We are honored to support an organization that makes such a meaningful impact on the veteran community.
